Christos Kourtelis is Assistant Professor in European Public Policy at the Department of International, European and Area Studies at Panteion University. Before moving to Panteion University, Christos taught modules in European Studies and International Relations in the UK (King’s College London, Birkbeck College London, University of Westminster, Loughborough University), in the Netherlands (Maastricht University) and in Turkey (Antalya Bilim University). He has worked as visiting lecturer at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and at the College of Europe at the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair. His work focuses on the European Neighbourhood Policy and EU external relations. His research interests cover Euro-Mediterranean relations and EU development assistance.

His research is published in international peer-reviewed journals of EU studies and international relations. His monograph The Political Economy of Euro-Mediterranean Relations is published by Palgrave McMillan. He has published his research in the following journals: JCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies, Journal of European Integration, Mediterranean Politics, Journal of Balkan and Near Eastern Studies, Journal of Intervention and State Building, The World Trade Review, The International Spectator, International Politics.His work has been published in collective volumes (in Greek and in English).
